What it does for you
Why tint your car windows?
A cooler car
Union film blocks up to 87% of infrared heat, so the cabin and seats stay cooler in summer.
Less glare
A low morning or evening sun is easier on your eyes, on every drive.
More privacy
Darker rear glass keeps your bags and your passengers out of view.
Blocks UV
Both films block 99.99% of UV, which protects your skin and helps stop the seats fading.

How it works
How we tint your car
We tint the side windows and the back glass, and we can add a strip along the top of the windshield. Old film can be taken off first if your car has some.
Every piece of film is cut to the shape of your glass and heat-shaped to its curve, so it sits flat to the edges with no gaps or bubbles.
Most cars take between one and five hours, depending on the car and how many windows we tint.
- Side windows and back glass
- A top strip on the windshield, if you want one
- Old film taken off first, when there is some
- Lifetime film warranty

Your price
What decides the price
We give you a price before we start. These are the things that change it.
Your car
A coupe has fewer, smaller windows than a large SUV or a minivan.
How many windows
The whole car, just the back, or just the front doors to match the factory rear tint.
The film
Carbon IR or Ceramic IR. Ceramic stops more heat and costs a little more.
Old film
If old tint has to come off first, it takes more time.

Looking after the film
- Keep the windows rolled up for a few days while the film settles. In cold weather it can take a little longer.
- A light haze or a few small water spots while the film dries is normal. They clear on their own.
- Leave the inside of the glass for a week before cleaning it, then use a soft cloth and a cleaner with no ammonia.
Questions
Car window tinting questions
How long does car window tinting take?
Most cars take between one and five hours. A coupe with a few windows is quicker than a large SUV, and taking old film off first adds time.
How dark can I tint my car in Illinois?
On a car, every side window and the back glass must let in at least 35% of light. On an SUV, van or pickup, the front doors must be 35% or lighter and the glass behind the driver can be any shade. The windshield can have a strip along the top 6 inches.
What is the difference between Carbon IR and Ceramic IR?
Both block 99.99% of UV and look the same from outside. Ceramic IR blocks 87% of infrared heat and Carbon IR blocks 75%, so ceramic keeps the car cooler in summer.
When can I roll my windows down?
Keep them up for a few days while the film settles. In cold weather it can take a little longer to dry.
Is a little haze normal after tinting?
Yes. A light haze or a few small water spots while the film dries is normal and clears on its own.
How do I clean tinted windows?
Leave the inside of the glass for a week before cleaning it, then use a soft cloth and a cleaner without ammonia. Never scrape the film with a blade.
