Window tinting in Burbank
Window tinting for Burbank drivers and homes
79th Street runs from Burbank east to Cicero Avenue, and Miguel's shop is close to that corner, about 2.2 miles from the middle of Burbank.
Every visit is booked ahead, and the person you talk to when you call is the person who tints your car. Miguel keeps samples and a heat box in the shop, so you can see each shade and feel how much heat each film stops before you decide. Only one car is ever in the shop at once, and one Google reviewer says they had all their cars tinted there.

Miguel's past work includes a BMW M5 and X6, a Mercedes C-Class and a Lexus RX. On cars like these, Union Ceramic is worth a look: crystal clear, no metal, and up to 87% of infrared heat rejected, the most Union makes. Union Carbon gives a deep, even shade and rejects 75%. Both block 99.99% of UV, which helps keep leather and trim from fading, and each pattern is cut by computer for the model in front of him.

Home and business window film
Home and business window film in Burbank
For Burbank homes and businesses, Miguel comes out to measure and fit the film on site. A back room or kitchen that turns hot every afternoon is a good match for Union's Ceramic film, which cuts heat and UV with low reflection, so the window doesn't look like a mirror from the yard. If you'd like the most natural look, Neutral cuts solar heat too, and Silver adds daytime privacy for rooms that face the street.

Questions
Window tinting questions from Burbank
Do you tint cars for people in Burbank?
Yes. Burbank is about 2.2 miles from Miguel's shop at 8040 S Knox Ave, near 79th and Cicero. Cars are tinted at the shop by appointment only, so call (773) 307-6801 to pick a time.
Can you put window film on my Burbank home or business?
Yes. That work is done at your property: Miguel comes out to measure and install the film. Tell him what you want to fix, whether it's heat, glare, fading or privacy, and he'll suggest the right Union film.
Is ceramic tint worth it over carbon?
It depends on what matters to you. Both Union films block 99.99% of UV and have no metal. Ceramic rejects up to 87% of infrared heat to Carbon's 75%, so it keeps more heat out on sunny days. Miguel can show you the difference on his heat box before you decide.
How dark can I tint my car windows in Illinois?
It depends on the vehicle. On a car, the front side windows beside the driver can be 35%, letting in at least 35% of light, as long as no window behind the driver is darker than 35%, so keep the back windows at 35% or lighter. On an SUV, van or pickup, the windows behind the driver can be any shade, but if they're darker than 35%, like the factory privacy glass on most SUVs, trucks and vans, the front side windows must let in at least 50% of light. The windshield can only have a non-reflective strip along the top, no more than 6 inches down. A medical exemption exists with a physician's certified statement and the state's plate or sticker. Laws change, so check the current law; the Illinois Window Tint Law page has the details.
