The sun on the drive in is where tint earns its keep: on a bright morning it lands on your arm, the steering wheel and the dashboard. Union film blocks 99.99% of UV, and Union Ceramic turns away 65% of the sun's total energy. Miguel takes appointments only, one car at a time, and you'll talk to him directly from the first call. He keeps the shop heated, well lit and spotless, and cuts every pattern by computer for your car.

Union Carbon and Union Ceramic both block 99.99% of UV, which helps protect your skin and the car's interior on every drive. Carbon rejects 75% of infrared heat and keeps a deep look that holds its color. Ceramic rejects up to 87%, stays crystal clear and is signal-safe. Either way, the film is cut by computer for your exact car and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Home and business window film
Home and business window film in Crestwood
If your Crestwood home has big south-facing windows, they bring in more sun than any other side of the house. Installation happens at your home: Miguel measures the windows and fits the film there. Neutral cuts solar heat and keeps a natural look, and Ceramic cuts heat and UV with low reflection, keeping much of the UV off rugs and furniture. Crestwood businesses get the same on-site visit.

Questions
Window tinting questions from Crestwood
Do you tint cars for people in Crestwood?
Yes. Crestwood is about 7.1 miles from Miguel's shop at 8040 S Knox Ave; take Cicero Avenue north toward 79th Street. Cars are tinted by appointment only, so call (773) 307-6801 first.
Do you install window film at Crestwood homes and businesses?
Yes. Miguel comes to the property to measure and fit it, whether that's a sunny living room or an office front. Union's range is Neutral, Silver, Ceramic, White Out and Black Out.
Does window tint block UV?
Yes. Union Carbon and Union Ceramic both block 99.99% of UV, so almost none of it gets through the tinted glass to you or your seats.
How dark can I tint my car windows in Illinois?
It depends on the vehicle. On a car, the front side windows beside the driver can be 35%, letting in at least 35% of light, as long as no window behind the driver is darker than 35%, so keep the back windows at 35% or lighter. On an SUV, van or pickup, the windows behind the driver can be any shade, but if they're darker than 35%, like the factory privacy glass on most SUVs, trucks and vans, the front side windows must let in at least 50% of light. The windshield can only have a non-reflective strip along the top, no more than 6 inches down. A medical exemption exists with a physician's certified statement and the state's plate or sticker. Laws change, so check the current law; the Illinois Window Tint Law page has the details.
